22.10.09. Bauwerk Parkett AG, which currently belongs to the globally active Nybron Flooring International Corporation ("NFI"), is to be sold to a Swiss company owned by EGS Beteiligungen AG and to Zurmont Madison in Zurich, Bauwerk said in a press release received by Lesprom Network.

EGS Beteiligungen AG and Zurmont Madison have devoted their commitment to financing the further expansion of the Bauwerk Group. The Bauwerk management team will remain unchanged under the aegis of CEO Klaus Brammertz. The closing of the transaction is subject to regulatory approval. Following the conclusion of the transaction, NFI will concentrate on the expansion of its major shareholding, Swedish parquet manufacturer AB Gustaf Kährs.

Bauwerk Parkett AG was founded in 1944 and has been since developing, producing and selling double-layer and solid wood parquet for more than 60 years. It produces approximately 3 million square metres of parquet flooring each year at its two factories in St Margrethen (Switzerland) and Salzburg (Austria). The Group employs a workforce of around 550, with 300 in Switzerland and 200 in Austria.
